How do I join a server in Rust?
Copy the address from the server's listing. 1. Open the console – Start Rust and press F1 on the main menu. 2. Connect – Paste this command and press Enter. Keep the console open while the map downloads. (client.connect IP:port) 3. Or use the server list – Click "Play Game", open the "Community" tab and search for the server name.
How does voting for Rust servers work?
Voting pushes a server up this month's ranking. Some servers also give you an in-game reward for it, and their listings say what it is. You can vote once every 24 hours per server. On the vote page you can sign in with Steam, so a server that gives vote rewards can find you by your SteamID. Or just type your in-game name.
How is the ranking calculated?
Servers are ordered by votes received in the current calendar month, which resets on the 1st. Sponsor slots and premium plans buy visibility, never rank – they apply no boost of any kind, and every listing is ranked by votes alone.
Are these New Zealand servers free to play on?
Yes – every server listed here is free to join. Some sell optional cosmetic or convenience perks on their own store; look for the tags and reviews on each listing.
